To make sure your event goes off perfectly and to eliminate waste it is essential to know exactly how much liquor you will need to cater to your guests. Below I have included a couple of measurements so you can calculate about how much alcohol you will need to serve each person.

Triple Sec

(This is used for most sweet drinks, Margaritas, Long Island Iced Teas, etc.)

Sweetened Lime Juice

(This is also used in margaritas, Long Islands, Cosmos, etc.)

Grenadine

(This is an all purpose cherry flavored sweet syrup used in Tequila Sunrise and similar drinks.)

Fruit/Vegetable Juices

Tomato Juice/ Bloody Marys

Grapefruit Juice/ Gin & Juice

Orange Juice/ Screwdriver

Cranberry Juice/ Cosmo

Keep in mind when ordering liqour that a lot of drinks are made with one or more shots of alcohol.

Your general drinks are made with one shot: Rum & Coke, Whiskey & Water, Screwdriver, etc.

Most of the mixers are made with more than a single shot such as Long Islands which contain one shot rum, one shot gin, one shot vodka, one shot tequila, one part triple sec, therefore it is a 4 shot drink.

Daiquiris & Margaritas are one shot drinks, Pina Coladas contain two shots.
